House was built in the 90’s, we bought it and moved in late last year. Home inspection didn’t note anything wrong but a painter we had out last week said he thought the header area is framed incorrectly and needs more support.
Is this true or is there some other aspect that’s supporting the load?
If it is an issue can i install some cripples now or does this need more robust remediation?
