Anxiety, OCD, and Insomnia on Buproprion

Hey there,

I currently take 10mg of mianserin for sleep, which improved my mood and have been for a few months. It's been a world changer for me according to my friends.

About two weeks ago I started 150mg of Buproprion at the recommendation of a friend with my psychiatrists approval. Partially to treat depression, partially to treat sexually dysfunctionality caused by prozac nearly a decade ago.

I noticed initially the first few days I was more energetic and in a better mood, albeit anxious. Also I noticed I was waking up with morning wood for the first time in years (I'm only 29)

However after nearly two weeks of taking it, I notice my sleep has become abysmal, waking up multiple times a night after only 30 to 45 minute cycles. I've also had my first OCD compulsions in several years.

Additionally, my partner noticed I've become a lot more "like my old self" and way more snappy, irritable, and judgemental. We had our first argument in 3 months last night.

I have to ask, do symptoms improve after a few weeks? I don't think I can handle this, nor do I want to.

I liked it initially due to the improvement in libido, but surely there are other meds that can work with less anxiety inducement?

Any advice or recommendations? My psychiatrist sucks and doesnt respond to questions unless I hammer him with calls, texts, and emails. My country also has a monstrous waiting time for them, so I can't switch easily without paying out the nose for a private one.

Upper B1 Plateau?

Hi guys,

I've gotten fairly decent with Spanish and Italian having reached a B1 with both languages, and a greater aptitude with the former. However, my learning progress has stalled enormously.

I learned most of my Spanish from a two month stint in Latin America, and can communicate soundly in it. But is there a good way to have solid structured progress beyond just massive amounts of input? Between the inability to see significant progress, and the tedium of later stage practice, I'm not sure what to do.

Any advice on constructing a plan to get ahead again?

Hey there, Just curious what type of rope you guys recommend for magnet fishing, or what to look for.

I'm the guy who doodles and accidentally got his magnet stuck under a dock a few months back. My stupid ass lost it again, permanently, at the bottom of a canal when it got stuck on something big and structural (I think a pipe?) and then the rope snapped when I pulled it.

With summer coming, that canal is getting way too much traffic for me to go down after it. Even my buddy who's a scuba instructor told me to write it off as a loss. So it's time for a new $300/magnet and I don't wanna lose it again.

So hit me with your thoughts, tell me what to avoid, and call me a dumbass as much as you please lol
