To be honest with Honor.

My honest review as someone who used to buy Honor phones almost exclusively for years.

I used to genuinely love this company. Their phones were simple, kinda unique in their own way and they didn't constantly try to stand out or scream for attention. That's actually what made them appealing. They were comfortable to use, reliable and did exactly what I needed them to do.

Now fast forward to today

I honestly regret buying my current Honor phone, especially after it updated to MagicOS 10.

I wanted an Honor phone with Honor's own identity, not a cheap iPhone clone that tries harder every year to copy Apple. The individuality is basically gone at this point, so much of the UI and overall direction just feels ripped straight from iOS.

What disappointed me even more is that after barely a year of use the phone already started running noticeably worse. Constant lag, random slowdowns every single day, and that’s even after cleaning the system and doing a full factory reset. Nothing.

Will I ever buy another Honor product again?

Probably not. This was the experience that finally pushed me to move on and look for something else.

Something made by a company that actually cares about user experience instead of trends and marketing gimmicks.

And honestly MagicOS is pretty awful. Sorry, but I absolutely hate the whole "" bubble"" effect style they keep forcing everywhere,

I would disable it instantly if they actually gave users the option. But apparently caring about users doesn't include letting people customize basic UI behavior.

And dont even get me started on the ai stuff. They're trying to shove ai into literally every possible feature now.

Do people actually want this? Idk. I don't. It genuinely feels like they're constantly trying to push a product onto me that I never asked for.

Even after turning off every ai related setting I could find, the system still keeps suggesting ai features nonstop.

Yeah, technology moves forward, I get it. But forcing ai into everything and constantly pushing people to use it is just exhausting and unnecessary(this mostly applies to generative ai)

I honestly feel sad writing all this because I used to be someone who always bought their products and recommended them to other people.

Maybe I'm the only one who feels this way. Or maybe there are more people like me.

Either way, Im done with Honor for good.
