I recently started reaching out to clinics while researching DES, and one thing that genuinely surprised me is that you can get a consultation through zoom?? I've never gotten any consultations or anything before so i might just be clueless tho 😅

I'll be in Korea for only about 3/4 days, so I've been reaching out to clinics to explain my tight schedule and see if it's possible to fit consultations and surgery into that short trip. That's when I was told I could just book an online consultation instead, which I didn't even know was even a thing so I was a bit wary.

I ended up booking one for non-incisional double eyelid surgery. I sent photos ahead of time, and during the consultation the doctor actually referred to those photos while we were talking. He also looked at my eye structure on camera and explained what would be possible and what his recommendations were.

Since I won't have enough time to come back for stitch removal, I'm leaning toward non-incisional. I still want very natural results, though, and the doctor said non-incisional should be possible for my case. He was honest about the limitations, but also reassured me that when I come in, we can go through the design process together and choose the right crease height for my eyes.

It honestly felt just as thorough as if I were there in person, which I didn’t expect.

Do you guys know clinics that offer online consultations?

Or clinics where you had a particularly good experience with the online consult process? Did you feel confident booking a surgery after that?

Would love to hear how others handled planning when they had limited time in Korea.
