PC Build for Work & Play

  • New build or upgrade?

    • New build.

  • Existing parts/monitors to reuse? (List with models/links)

    • 1TB M.2 NVme SSD, EVGA 550W power supply (willing to upgrade if need be), Keyboard, Mouse, Monitor being kept, one 4TB western digital HDD

  • PC purpose? (Gaming, editing, etc. List apps/games)

    • A mix between Music/Voice recording, (Cakewalk sonar, Mixcraft, Reaper, Audcity) and heavy simulation games (Project zomboid, Cursader Kings III, City Skylines. Would like to see 1440p, but content with 1080p is fine. Prioritize overall smoothness against lag.

  • Purchase country?

  • Monitors needed? (Number, size, resolution, refresh rate)

  • Budget range? (Include tax considerations)

    • 1.2k to 1.7k

  • WiFi or wired connection?

    • WiFi

  • Size/noise constraints?

    • minimal noise as possible for voice over work, no liquid cooled setups

  • Color/lighting preferences?

    • none, minimalist where possible

  • Any other specific needs?

    • Ideally future proof as much as possible. Would consider a GPU add on if necessary. I see this more towards the gameplay of things rather than the DAW software, but if the gains are minimal, could do with integrated CPU graphics. I'm also rocking a Cooler Master MasterBox Q300L Micro-ATX PC Case. I plan on keeping that as well, unless this build could be made into a micro ATX build where the computer case is smaller, not a priority however.
