Fiance (42M) is obsessed with Intel Stock and I(35F) have had enough.
My fiance (42M) and I (35F) have been together for almost 3 years, engaged for almost a year, last year he invested in Intel, started with about $8k, and it has since skyrocketed from there. Which is great and all, but it has gotten to the point where he isn’t just borderline obsessed with it, he’s FULLY obsessed with it.
I try to be supportive and respectful, but at this point it’s the only thing he ever talks about, and it’s honestly wearing me down. He’ll ask for advice on what he should do, then either shuts it down, or says he’s just going to do whatever he wants. So ok, why ask for my advice then? It has also been a DAILY occurrence, other than weekends (thank god), that he starts freaking out and asking me what he should do with it.
He also frequents StockTwits which is where he talks to all his fellow Intel stock followers, we had a fight about this, and he had stated that he was going to delete it, so we deleted it together only for him to put it back on his phone. Then he gave himself the rule that he wouldn’t look at it at home, that lasted a day, not even a full 24 hours, and I got annoyed.
At this point I’m at a total loss at what to do, because he either just straight up ignores me, or he just does whatever he wants. I don’t like it at all. It makes me feel unheard and unattended to, especially when I don’t see him all day, and he immediately starts talking about it or just goes on his phone to look at it.
It’s been so draining that even intimacy is non existent on my part, because I am just so sick of hearing about it, and if I’m in the mood, and he starts talking about it, I’m no longer interested in being intimate.
Has anyone else had issues like this with their S.O.?
