I have 2 Jamo Sub200’s in my 5.2.2 setup. I’m running them on a Denon x1600h. Tonight I noticed that one of them lets out a slight pop intermittently. It’s very low, almost only like tapping your finger on the underside of the sub, but it’s definitely there. I first noticed when I was going through menus on my Lg’s Apple TV app. But I can also hear it when playing content. I’ve swapped the subs around to rule out that it’s not getting interference somehow, the other sub works fine.
TL;DR do subs start making popping noises when they are on their way out?
Update 1: when I plugged in the sub that seemed fine, it hummed even when the sub was switched to off and the back plate got super hot to the touch. Switching it to on lessened the hum but the backplate/panel remained red hot. Unplugging and replugging it in seemed to remedy. The one that was popping also exhibited the same issue. I have unplugged both for now as I am worried of the overheating. Are these subs on their way out?
