Namaste all😊🙏,

A Marathi girl here.

I do have some genuine questions for the youth staying in Madhya Pradesh. First of all, I have recently started exploring India's forests and forest, agriculture based economy and do have good opinion about sustainable development. Here I am not against industry, in fact I am someone who believes in balance. 🌳➕🏭

Here are few questions in my mind which I expect you to answer because I have only been to this state as tourist long back, never stayed for long term.

My few questions are here

  1. Does youth here expect more industrial growth?

  2. Does youth value largest forest cover in state & would like to develop sustainable income through forest stays, forest safaris , jungle trails or would like to be dependent only on jobs given by others ?

  3. I strongly believe those who are resources rich are truly rich people. Apparently, it's only land but it's mother which nurtures people with food & water resources are full because of green cover. Farmers , villagers are self sufficient when it comes to basic needs.

  4. What is young generation's opinion on relocation and land acquirement by tribals, farmers for various projects ? Does the youth normalize these incidents?

Asking all these questions because something disturbed my mind yesterday and even a few days back. I was talking to a gentleman in late 20's staying in Indore and I could simply see lack of compassion for the people those whose land was being taken for different projects. Same incidents happening in many states for last 2 years and it's painful for me. I am afraid there will be a day when this beautiful state will have to go through scarcity of water & extreme heat , polluted air if forest lands are taken over for various projects. Every development needs balance. Has youth staying in cities become so ignorant towards all these ecological problems and hurdles of tribal people? We believe they live simplest life with bare minimum requirements & protect forest. This gentleman answered that these people are only chasing money in return of land which I feel is incorrect. One more statement done by him is all farmers are freebies surviving on taxpayers money which is not true. In Maharashtra we have huge respect for farmers & we consider them Annadatas & agree to the fact that they have big struggle throughout.

Could someone decode today's youth's though process 🙏 Thank you all once again. Please be respectful while answering.
