Chances of getting it?
Today I had a friend come over who was visiting from out of town and we hung out in my room. He was on my bed and we are very cuddly friends and we were scratching each other, rubbing, etc. He sat on my bed for probably 2 hours and then revealed to me he might have scabies (in a very casual, update in my life way). I was shocked because he spoke about it very offhandedly and when I mentioned it's really contagious, he just said that it could only be sexually transmitted since it mainly affected his genitals and butt. Obviously that's incorrect. He said he was taking the oral pill and that it has been helping the itch.
When he left, I immediately showered, changed and washed my bedding. I'm going to call my doctor first thing tomorrow to hopefully get prescribed the topicals, but I am freaking out. How likely is it that I will get it??? If he took the pill are the mites likely gone and it's just post itch??? Is there anything else I should do in the meantime??
