What's the smallest car that can tow 5500+ pounds.
Hey I'm in a weird situation when it comes to choosing my next car. I currently own a 2007 crv which is probably my favorite car I've ever owned. It's reliable and easy to fix which is the most important thing too me and it gets great gas milage along with having AWD. Its genuinely all I need but I go camping a lot in a really rural area with unpaved roads and ditches and fallen trees so having AWD and tools is a constant must but also not being too big is also handy because theres a lot of roads only big enough for one car and unsurprisingly a lot of huge lifted trucks driving down the other side. My gfs dad also has a boat that's about 5k pounds with the trailer which is the one thing that's giving me a hard time trying to decide on what to get.
I want a boring smallish car that can tow about 5k if I have to Incase anything happens to his car. Ive mostly been looking at jdm vehicles and have been thinking more about the Ridgeline or frontier since I prefer a boring car that I can fix with all my metric tools over something with a bunch of screens and luxuries I'll never use. I was just wondering if anyone had any insights or opinions on what to buy. I feel like a frontier would fit my needs the best but I'm just not really too experienced with trucks so any advice would be appreciated.
I would honestly would love a maverick I know it goes up to 4.5k with the towing package but if anyone knows how steep the hill is for rhaystown lake it's not something I wanna push my luck with lol.
