I've seen a lot of people claim the JU model is "too clean" but the Part 3 model is way cleaner. Jason has many variations. Zombie Part 6 and 7 are awesome, but they're not all he's ever been or all he's allowed to be.
Jason Universe doesn't own:
Jason X, Jason Goes to Hell, Freddy v Jason, the 2009 reboot, and rights to use the title Friday the 13th
Jason Universe does own:
Films rights for Parts 1-8, Adult Jason, child Jason, the Vorhees name, Pamela, music and soundtrack rights, Crystal Lake, original film mythology and lore, sequel-style Jason elements.
JU is currently selling YouTooz and Funkos on their website that uses Jason costumes from previous movies AND the Savini Jason outfit.
There is no world in which JU isn't allowed to use these elements but Warners Bros is. So basically, it comes down to whether or not BHVR worked it out in the deal or not. But the comparisons to Ghostface I keep seeing are simply inaccurate sensationalism.
Fun World never had any sort of movies rights and licensure access whatsoever. It's literally just a Halloween costume company. That's a massive difference.
This is my replacement for Maxx Crosby. I think he's earned his spot.
