I am playing DD for the first time in a few weeks and I know insurance is +2.5- How is this treated when you floor your true count?
My confusion is let’s say the running count is 4 with a divisor of 1.5. Your true count would be ~2.66 which with flooring my true count is +2. Do I ignore flooring with my insurance bets?
Typically playing mostly S17 markets, I learned the deviations for S17 games. Going forward, I suspect I will primarily be playing H17 games.
Is the recommendation to switch to H17 deviations as my primary source since basic strategy is different, especially for surrender games - 15 v. A especially.
My concern is for example on a trip I happen to stop at a S17 LS place, is using H17 deviations when the 15 v A one is pretty drastic. Or, would I just use S17 basic strategy and H17 deviations?
Does anyone just use one set of deviations for all games?
Sad post. I don’t have a community to outreach to, so I am just saying it here… I had an ATH of $18k, and then have lost $13k in the last 50-75 hours.
