First Trip Recommendations
Hey, I'm fascinated by the idea of hitchhiking and have been reading a lot about it online the past days.
Currently I'm planning my first hitchhiking trip from Karlsruhe (Germany) to Porto (Portugal). If you can answer only one of those question, you would already help me out a lot:
- What do you think about this plan?
- How should I go about finding a good route / how to plan where I want to go. I don't really have a feeling right now for what good drop off sports are, etc...
- My plan is to take a light tent, sleeping bag and thin mattress with me. This way I can sleep wherever, or I try to find a place to sleep at via couchers/bewelcome. (should I go for a hammock instead?)
- Ultimately I would love to arrive in Porto after a max. of 1 week, do you think this is realistic?
