Has anyone who’s applied heard back yet?
Hiii,
I wanted to make this post to show young adults the power of investing as I am so close to a new milestone (150k) !! I started investing a couple months before I turned 19 (2024), I knew nothing and had no mentor or parents to ask about investing. I just had a goal to make as much money as possible at a young age so that in the future I wouldn’t need to stress about finances. I want to show other young adults what they can turn their money into if they started investing and how I was able to achieve this and hopefully they can use this post as motivation to start !!!!

I started my investing with just a TSFA (maxed out), then FHSA (26k invested) and now I have a non-registered account. IK IK I should open a RRSP, but I plan to open one once I’m out of school and working full time.
I have been working since I was 16, and have saved most of the money I made. I also haven’t said no to many experiences since I am still young and want to have fun and have no regrets (multiple vacations with bf, family and friends, going out for dinner, drinks, movies, concerts, etc. and big shopping purchases such as aura ring, Dyson air wrap, iPad, golf clubs, etc.) As well as I bought a car at 16 for 19k which is now paid off!
I began working at a shop making a few dollars over minimum wage and have since gotten a job at a dive bar where I’ve been working since 18. If you’re young and wanting fast cash work as a server or bartender !!!
I am very grateful to not have to pay for my schooling (RESP, scholarships + bursary) and I have gotten a substantial amount of excess money. I also still live at home and my only bills consist of car insurance, maintenance and gas.
I signed up for classes on August 16th and my tuition fees still only show my lab fees ~300$. In past years my tuition fees updated instantly after signing up for classes.
I was just wondering if this was happening to anyone else?
If you were waitlisted last year, what position were you and when did you get in??
How were the following classes?
CHEM 2520, CHEM 3120, CHEM 2200, CHEM 3760
Rank these courses or add your opinion on them:
STAT 2150, STAT 2300, STAT 3000
I got A+ in STAT 1000 and STAT 2000
How much have you guys gotten yearly for school and what applications did you complete?

Hi, I’m 21F and I’m starting dental school in August of this year. I currently have about 20k in a RESP my parents set up as a child. Even with that money my first year will cost an addition ~50k (72k total).
I will need to liquidate some of my portfolio to be able to pay for my schooling and I don’t know the best way to go about it.
My plan is to liquidate my school scholarship account first and then my portfolio account and stocks that have given a negative return.
I’m open to any sort of advice as I’ve had no guidance on my stocks portfolio and have self learnt everything, so I don’t really have anyone to ask about this!!!!
Thank you!!
