Hello everyone!!

I’m an incoming freshman that will be majoring in Forensic Science :)

For the fall semester I will be taking CHEM 160! But I’ve heard that Loyola has a fairly awful chem department, and I’m honestly really nervous for the class.

The teacher I have is Felix Amankona-Diawuo. Can anyone who has taken his class tell me about his teaching style, what kind of assignments he gives, and how he grades? Is it truly that difficult to pass the class with an A if you put in the work?

Honestly, if you have ANY tips in general about surviving the Loyola chem department, I would be incredibly appreciative!

I’ve never really posted much on reddit, so I’m not sure how to go about this, but I really need some advice.

I have 2 cats and just recently got a third. He is a 3 month old Ragdoll kitten.

On Monday, I took my oldest cat (3 yrs old) to the ER because she was vomiting, had diarrhea, and was refusing to eat. The vet ran both x-ray and blood tests on her and concluded that everything was fine, so I left with anti nausea meds and some fortiflora packets. They never gave me a diagnosis.

As of today I’ve noticed that my other two cats (2 yrs old and 3 month old kitten) have also started to vomit. I’m so unsure of what to do or what this could be..

All of my cats are indoor cats, and while I thought my kitten may have brought an illness with him, all his medical records say he was healthy.

The ER visit costed me over $1,300, and while I do have insurance, I just can’t afford to bring all cats in.

I clean all their food bowls everyday and clean their water fountain once a week + fill it with filtered water.

Honestly, I have no idea how to go about this. I care for my cats very much and want to do what’s best for them, but I’m wondering if there is any option i can pursue before dropping any more money. Please let me know if you have any idea of what could be happening or how I can handle this.

Also if it helps, my big cats are currently on Hill’s science diet and Applaws wet food while my kitten is on Hill’s science diet (for kittens) and tiki cat bay food.

Please help!!
