Mood and physical changes in unspayed cat
Hey guys, Ive had my female cat for a little over 3 years and found her in a dealership parking lot. I havent had the funds nor time to get her spayed yet and I have been noticing her gaining weight. She couldn't be pregnant because she hasn't been exposed to any unfixed male cats. Recently shes been grumpier and losing appetite (she wont touch her favourite fussy cats treat), and this morning I found that she has quite a bit of vaginal discharge. Any help would be much appreciated as theres no vets available and the E.R. vets upfront price is $500 just to look at her. Thank you!
Update: we are currently at the emergency vet and she is getting looked at right this moment.
Final update: went to the emergency vet and confirmed she does have pyometra, we have an appointment set tomorrow morning to get an emergency spay and antibiotics. Thank you everyone for telling me to take her in immediately, we caught it right at the beginning and have time to get the surgery done by tomorrow.
