how to tidy my library

Hey!

My collection is growing bigger and I think it gets messy.

I use musicbee to listen and manage the collection and Navidrome to Stream it on my home server. I use feishin and symfonium as clients.

problem is that musicbee sometimes decides to split the albums into 2 albums with the same name or it's sometimes randomly search for track titles that don't match. How do I get it more organzied? maybe i should Try diffrent software? also I have diffrent folder and would like to join them into one folder with one system.

thank you?

Order movie tickets

Hey!

I'm going to be in Korea this September.

I know there is a real IMAX theater in Seoul and I thought it is going to be a great oppurtanity to watch the Oddeysy (as Nolan intended). I tried to order tickets from CGV but It's all in Korean and I don't think it is possible without Korean credit card. someone showed me this link https://cineinkorea.com/wp/ but apart than looking shady I can't choose a sit.
Is there any other way for foreigner to book tickets ahead? should I maybe "take the risk" and try book tickets when I'm there? what do you think? any help and tips would be appreciated!!!
thanks!

New M4 tips and battery questions

Hey guys!

I just got my new M4. I want to keep the battery healthy for a long time.

I thought of optimize battery setting set to 80%

working with charger plugged in whenever available.

using low power mode in day to day life unless trying something heavier like video editing.

always charge it before 20%

is it good? will the battery last?

I heard that low power mode can damage the battery, is it true?

any other tips for a new macbook owner?

Thnaks!

I almost gave up on my thinkpad P14s

Hey guys! I really love ThinkPads. I have classic X61s, T420, and E330.

year and a half ago I wanted to get something more powerful for school and vibe editing. I picked up the p14s gen 2. I had terrible experience. I dual boot Windows and catchy os. the laptop turns super hot super fast. and it couldn't keep up with windows 11 even sitting on desktop made the laptop turn really hot really fast. fans were spining like crazy and often reaching almost 100 degrees while web browsing. Linux was better but still i would get 80 degrees on zoom calls!!

i could never really edit videos on the machine. Because it was so hot and Barley even load Davinci properly.

I think the problem is because of the thin chessy together with the gpu.
I tried almost everything. tweaking BIOS and repasting the cpu and gpu.

I became the guy with the noisy laptop at uni.

It was unusable in windows, and somewhat usabl wtih linux

I was using the laptop less and less and using my E330 and my desktop more and more.

recently I tried giving it another shot.

I turned cpu power consumption to 99% so it won't be turbo bosting, tweaked BIOS to balnced. Installed win 11 LTSC version. ran chris titus script/ and Installed Atlas os.

and It worked. I can browse internet and even edit 4K IN DAVINCHI using proxies and temperature stays around 40-55 degrees for light tasks.

I still think of switching the MX4 paste to honeywell. and I do think the biggest Impact was Atlas os together with 99 cpu usauge. However I'm afraid I did tweaked it too much and im losing preformance.
how can I make sure I get the most out of this laptop without going back to a noisy hot potato?

i sometimes think to give up and get macbook air insted. I do love tinkering with thinkpads but this whole experience make me think if newer models lost the magic...

M1 Max in 2026?

Hey guys! saw this guy on facebook selling his macbook M1 max 32GB 14 inch 1tb for around 920 USD. for compariasion other used M1 MAX sold for 1.5 where I live. He says that the mag safe connector isn't working and the only way to charge it is via USB C. battery life says 91%.

should I go for it? can the mag safe problem indicate bigger problem? is it still a recommended buy in 2026? I am an enginerring student. looking gor something to code on and maybe some light video editing and photo work. I would hate to miss on a good deal but I wouldn't want to buy something I'll have to swap in a year.

Battery life is also important.

waht do you think?

Thank you!
