Finally went to the Kspa

Hey everyone, I finally did itI went to my first K-spa!
After reading all the posts on this subreddit and doing plenty of research, I finally gave in and went to Wi Spa. I was having a particularly rough week at work and generally felt like things weren’t going well. I clocked out today and, for some reason, decided, “Let’s practice some self-care.” I just went straight to Wi Spa without even giving it a second thought.
I really appreciate all the tips everyone posts here because they made my first visit so easy. I already had a good sense of the etiquette and what to expect.
Once I arrived at Wi Spa, I checked in at the front desk and paid the general spa fee. I was given my uniform and wristband, then made my way to the locker room.
When I got to my locker, I realized that I had absolutely no problem taking my clothes off or being nude at all. From the locker room, I showered and headed into the wet spa area and pools. There were about eight other guys there with me, and it was a pretty diverse crowd with all different body shapes and sizes.
I rotated through the different pools, soaking and just enjoying the atmosphere. The environment was really comfortable, and at no point did I feel intimidated or out of place. Everyone was pretty chill, and the staff were very helpful.
Something I thought was really funny was how we all naturally seem to size each other up when entering or exiting different parts of the spa. At no point did it actually feel weird or uncomfortable.
Even though I came by myself, I had a great time. I can definitely see how this could also be a really fun experience to do with friends. I might have to bring a buddy with me next time.
After spending some time in the pools, I made my way to the second floor to check out all the dry spas. The cold sauna was such a relief. I ended up getting so comfortable that I actually took a nap up there.
I also took a look at the top-floor patio, but I didn’t stay for too long.
Overall, I really enjoyed the experience. This wasn’t only my first K-spa it was actually the first spa I had ever been to in general. I’m definitely going to do this again. It was just as relaxing as it was fun.
Once again, thank you to everyone who posts on this subreddit. All the advice really helped me feel prepared and navigate my first Korean spa experience!
