Not getting enough performance from lenovo loq laptop.
My Specs (laptop):
- rtx 5050 8gb
- i7 13700hx
- 16gb ram, 4800 MT/s
My friend's specs (desktop):
- rtx 4060 8gb
- ryzen 5 5600
- 16gb ram 3200 MT/s
While playing apex legends I only get around 120 fps in lowest settings and it drops to 90 fps when I stream on discord. But it should be capped at 144 fps with no fluctuation even while streaming. Only 50% of the gpu is utilized (which I don't think should happen) and the ram or cpu isn't bottlenecked. I tried uncapping the fps but the issue remains the same.
This happens while playing a public match. In firing range I get constant 144 fps with no fluctuation.
I tried to run cs2 to check if it's a pc problem or only an apex legends problem. But in cs2 I was only getting around 150 fps in very high settings and 1440 x 1080 res, while my friend with a similar pc was easily getting around 230 fps (so it's probably a pc problem). His gpu was being 50% utilized while my utilization hovered from 50 to 80%.
The laptop temp goes up to 86 celsius according to nvidia statistics (alt + r), which is considered more or less normal for laptops so I don't think it's an overheating issue.
- I have updated my drivers
- There is no bitcoin miner or any shady program running in the background
- The power mode is set at "best performance"
