Total beginner here - how do you actually use Zotero well?

Just started using Zotero. Right now I've basically installed it and I'm saving papers with the browser connector. That's it.

I'm pretty sure there's a much better way to use this than what I'm doing.

If you've been using Zotero for years: what would you tell a beginner to do from day one? Habits, settings, folder/tag structure, one plugin worth installing

research papers are boring

Built a Chrome extension that makes papers interactive (free beta, looking for testers)

Open a paper and:

- figures become interactive

- sticky notes dig up the cited prior work

- hover any term for an explanation.

- saves to Zotero in one click.

I made it for my own reading and it's cut my time per paper a lot.
