Tales of Cast Discussion day 83: Anise Tatlin

If my understanding is correct, Anise is a polarizing character. I like her design, but Im not.going to lie, I think she's the weakest party member when it comes to plot stuff.

Tales of Cast Discussion day 69: Chloe Valens

I like Chloe Ive always gravitated towards her instead of punch boy in gameplay. She's also just a fun character.

As for the 3rd image. I'll let you guys guess the context.

Holy shit. I don't remember Will looking this uncanny. I don't have much to say, this blew the wind from my sails. Ive been laughing since I saw it.

Real talk, I like his character episode.

Tales of Cast Discussion day Six Seven: Senel Coolidge

(I decided to skip over Rebirth's side cast, Mostly because I don't think there's much to talk about. Outside of my Seething hatred for >!Shaorune!< anyways)

Its Senny! This is my brothers favourite character. I mean, I guess? He's cool, I guess. I like him in the story, and the fact he can command grab people is badass... but if I have to hear another "HOOHAAEATTHIS" I'll go insane.

Tales of Cast Discussion day 64: Saleh and Tohma

The reason I split the 4 stars up, is because you spend a significantly longer time with Salad and Tomb here more then you do the other- more interesting members of the 4 stars. Walto and Militsa would get overshadowed in thier discussion.

That aside, I Do like Saleh and I do enjoy Tohma. They're fun to fight.

Tales of Cast Discussion Day 62: Queen Agarte Lindblum

So Agarte... is she an antagonist, or protagonist? Either way she's great. I love her presence in the story. I love how >!she's very obviously not Claire in the second act yet the party play it off for her. They give her ass so many excuses.!<

I like her voice actress... I like her design... truly just an amazing character on all cylinders.

FINAL BOSS SPOILERS: >!why does Agarte have to die, btw? I won't forgive the writers for this😔.!<

Tales of Cast Discussion Day 61: Hilda Rhambling

A bit late, Sorry.

Anyways, Im not the biggest fan of Hilda in gameplay. Pretty interchangeable with Mao TBH. But in the story and as a character I like her.

In general, half of rebirths party is full of introverts who stand on business. I think its just funny to see them interact.

Tales of Cast Discussion day 60: Tytree Crowe

Tytree is cool! I think i mentioned this in the Mao post but rebirths humor is a bit hit or miss for me. Tytree is THE comic relief character, but he's also Stahn Aileron and Lloyd Irving. He's really cool, but I don't know if the game would still hit for me if he were the main character the way Lloyd and Stahn are.

As for Gameplay. He's never in my party.

Tales if Cast Discussion Day 59: Annie Barrs.

Gonna rip the bandaid of, this shit means something to me: Annie is my second favourite character to play as in this entire series. For those of you who've played rebirth, you're probably thinking: "Why?!" And for those of you whom haven't, you're probably thinking: "Why??"

It's simple, this character is so ass that when things are actually going well, it feels amazing. Letting the CPU control Annie? Rookie mistake. Playing as this character with 3 CPUs? Terrible. Playing as this character with mf's who don't understand the mechanics? Torture. But when the stars align, and you get at least ONE more human to play with who knows how rebirth's battle system works and respects it... Annie is great.

I can place down a circle that deals damage, I can spawn one that follows me or follows the enemy. I can place one that won't go away immediately, I can place a BIG one. I can revive my allies. I can whack people, She's perfect! (for co-op anyways)

I could go on for another paragraph about why she's so fun- or even why she's one of the worst party members ever... so instead Im going to talk about her as a character in the story instead.

At first glance Annie's arc is pretty as it comes, (as in you get one small moment in a town, then maybe in the next, or maybe not) but if you dig a little deeper, and>! literally wait until you're in the middle of the final dungeon!< then you can read her diary. You get so much insight into her thoughts. 55 chapters of stuff like: 'what its like to be 1 of 2 women in a party full of men?', 'what's it feel like to travel with her father's killer?', 'her impression of Veigue, her impression of Tytree, her impression on Milhaust', 'Annie's thoughts on Major story events.' I believe the only other time, we've gotten a diary in this series- that we could *read* and has this much content is In Abyss with Luke. and its completely optional.

But what isn't optional is her role in the story- and i think they knocked it out of the park. Its clear that Annie is supposed to be the annoying racist girl, and I mean- she is... but not really. Annie hates Gajuma, but she actually hates Eugene... but she can't even bring herself to fully hate Eugene because well... he's Eugene. All of her racist acts and statements in the game happen because she's really trying to convince herself that she DOES hate Eugene.

I could go on for a lot longer but Ive already written 6 paragraphs (which I didn't think I could do) but I love this character more then I thought I did, so... here you go. TL;DR: Annie Barrs is a top 10 tales character.

Tales of Cast Discussion Day 57: Mao

I don't know why Inomata decided to give Mao thighhighs but beyond that, I think his design is cool.

As for Gameplay. From my memory, He and Hilda are pretty neck and neck. But I remember Mao's spells being a bit more useful and disruptive.

As for story: >!he's alright. His Trial would'vebeen a lot more interesting to me if we saw him struggle with his lack of memories coming up to it. Everyone else's trial is proceeded by things or issues that relates to the character's struggle but Maos is kinda like: "lol its your turn now." !<

Tales of Cast Discussion day 56: Claire Bennet

My GOAT.

Claire... is great. I love her character and what she does for the story. Its easy to understand why Stoic Ice man screams her name so often. I want to say I like Claire more then Collete and Shirley.

[Major story spoilers:] >!I like that the game shows you her perspective so often. and I like that Claire is supposed to be a damse in distress despite not acting like it at all, even when her body's swapped. Shes like: "Hey I Know that dude is going to come save me. Yall gotta stay strong I'm staying strong. Ball up."!<

There's just something about this character that I really like. And I think they nailed it.

Claire has a long ass neck though.

Tales of Cast Discussion Day 55: Veigue Lungberg

A lot of people haven't played Tales of Rebirth but I'll be the first to tell you that its well worth it. As for its Party, A lot of people have called it an Ensamble cast and I think I agree? Well we'll see how I feel at the end of this.

As for Veigue.... well he's an interesting character. He's more then just the guy who screams his girlfriend's name at max volume but I'm having trouble articulating what it is I like about him. You could say I just think he's **COOL**.

As for Gameplay, I only really like 3 if his fusion force. And it sucks that his projectile is locked behind an accessory and not level.

Tales of Cast Discussion day 53: [Tales of Symphonia Final boss]

My goat. Spoiling since even though the game is like 20 years old, people are still playing it for the first time due to symphonia being THE tales game.

Turn back if you don't want to get spoiled, obviously.

Opinions on >!Mithos!< seem pretty mixed. I like him a lot though. You can understand the games title by understanding >!mithos. He's the one person in the world stopping true change from happening. He's the main actor against the 'symphony' that Aselia should be because he was burned by it and won't allow the orchestra to play anything better then his own tune.!<

The final boss tracks are good. I think he's real quotable too. All around fantastic character and a perfect antagonist for symphonia.

Edit: Fixed spoilers
