Fitbit Air made me realize why I love Whoop so much
I was very optimistic about the Fitbit Air and even made a post here how I liked the UI of the Google Health more. After using it now, it has been the exact opposite of what I thought 😭.
The google health app has been an absolute nightmare for me. It’s complicated, UI is bloated & buggy, AI is crap, can’t get a full HR breakdown of a workout if I log it manually rather than starting it on the app. I clearly can’t explain why but the app has induced more health anxiety than my Apple Watch which has a screen. I even tried it with the coach off.
This is where the Whoop feels more premium and class apart. It feels effortlessly intuitive and so many little quality of things that make the overall experience so much better like :
\- Muscular load calculation
\- Ability to log workout anytime
\- Better sleep insights
\- Stress Monitoring
\- Cal tracking feels more on par
\- Journaling
\- Advanced labs
\- Whoop Age
\- Better battery & charging mechanism

Reason for switching from Whoop to Fitbit Air
Have been using the Whoop for nearly 2 years & really like the form factor so much.
While there were alternatives coming up like the Polar Loop & Amazefit Helio, I didn’t like the software in both the apps & decided to pay the premium just for the software.
Now that I’ve seen the Fitbit Air & the redesigned Fitbit app, I love it so much. The software looks premium & standsout while making the data feel more actionable. The other thing is it looks more seamless & premium than the Whoop without trying too hard for $99.
I have my Whoop subscription for 3 more months and will be using both simultaneously. Unless the accuracy is trash on the Fitbit Air, I don’t plan on renewing. Hope that won’t be the case from a company like Google.
