Pregnancy, depression, and a puppy

I know this probably isn’t the best time for me to have a puppy, but I’m trying my best. He’s a 14-week-old German Shepherd/Doberman mix, and we’ve had him for about a month now.

Between pregnancy symptoms (nausea, dizziness, exhaustion) and depression, I’ve been struggling to get out of the house and properly socialize him.

We do go to a Petco training class every Friday, and I take him on short walks around our apartment complex, but I have a hard time getting him in the car and actually taking him places regularly. I think a lot of it is tied to the depression and just feeling overwhelmed.

Has anyone else gone through something similar? What are some small, realistic steps I can take to move in the right direction without burning myself out?

I have been absent from my son's life for 3 years up until recently where my mom has offered to let me stert coming back over every other weekend to see him. ( Long story short, this never goes well and it is more about having control of the situation than me seeing my child) since this is not the first time this cycle has come around I know what to expect at the end and I want to nip it in the bud by going through the courts and asking for what Ive read would be a Step Up Plan ? My aunt said that a family member of ours was able to file the paper work themselves, and if can be honest I HAVE been saving for a lawyer, but at this rate I still wouldn't have enough for a retainer until next year, so, back to my question of, is it possible to file for visitation yourself?
