Spotify’s new liked song filters are terrible.
Spotify really needs to stop “updating” things by making them worse.
Liked Songs used to have useful filters like EDM, trap, rap, etc. Now I’m getting vague nonsense like “Fast,” “Slow,” “Garage,” “Chill,” and “Upbeat.” That is not better. That is not more intuitive. That just makes it harder to find music I already saved.
I have thousands of liked songs. The whole point of filters is to quickly find what I’m looking for. If I want EDM, I want to tap EDM. I don’t want to guess whether Spotify decided to hide it under “Fast,” “Garage,” or some other random mood label.
Why keep removing practical features? This is the kind of thing that makes people start looking at Apple Music, YouTube Music, or literally anything else.
