Surgery Yesterday

Went in for posterior horn root tear of medial meniscus, wake up out of surgery and they say “no root tear!”Crazy because the mri picked that one up and confirmed by several opinions.

Obviously this is a good thing and they said the surgery went great, but how? Doc said it was a small complex test they sewed up and I’m not in a lock out brace and he wants pressure on crutches starting right away.

That seems optimistic no? 4 weeks planned 0-80 degrees with my follow up Sept 2 ( 2 weeks) .

Most confusing, I talked to him coming out of surgery and didn’t get to find out where the tear was and how it wasn’t the root.

Should I just heal up and move on or be worried something could have been missed?

Also, owie it’s sore!

What do you make on my big orders?

I need to know!!

I’m in Canada in a city where they pay a guaranteed rate.

I do tons of $1000+ Costco orders and no one seems to yell at me and I tip as well.

What are the drivers making? I just want to make sure it’s fair

PRP Outcomes

8 days ago, I 39/M tore my medial meniscus and grade 2 MCL and were awaiting the ACL news as I paid for a private MRI in Canada.

After injury -

First 6 days, I used crutches but have been doing PT, stationary bike and 1 hyperbaric session (do it)

4 days in

I was recommended PRP and threw caution to the wind and the experience itself was lovely

Today , day 8

The doc drained 6cc of fluid out of my knee first and then went into the joint and then poked my MCL as well.

The pain of the procedure was a 5-6/10 but oh my lord, 45 minutes later I wanted to cut off my leg. I’m not someone to take any pain killers, but since you can’t take any anti inflammatory meds (cbd too) I popped a Tylenol and I’m 4.5 hours later and it’s just starting to come back so I’ll take one before bed .

I wanted to post because there’s not a lot of PRP on here and as I’m turning myself into an experiment I figured I could update as I go.

My PT is very progressive which is why I was on the bike day 2 . Hyperbaric was my choice and PRP I did consult with him but not my GP because GP’s suck.

Also taking BPC 157 and Tb500 before the the injury and since.

Update Friday June 26 - I was mobile yesterday and feel so much better today. Obviously my knee is still messed up . Found out it’s. Grade 2 mcl and posterior tear of the meniscus at the root with effusion and partial bakers cyst pop.

Looking into surgery options but the PRP seems to real have gotten back and moving much better with my brace. Did 10k steps yesterday at work
