Why do buyers do this? And I’m wondering if it’s a gendered thing and I’m getting too annoyed by it. I’m selling a sweatshirt. He (I’m guessing gender here) lowballed me an offer and I countered just a few dollars off my price. One more back and forth where I went a bit lower and he asks if my last amount was the least I would accept via message. I said no. I would accept $y. 8 hours go by and I figure he’s not interested. Then he comes back and offers me $y-5. Why not offer me $y? Is he expecting me to make the final offer?
