Suggestion: Removable Plumes, Dyeable Helms, and Gear Restoration
I wanted to make a suggestion regarding armor customization, specifically the Chelcia Plate Helm and some of the damaged armor pieces found throughout the game.
The Chelcia Plate Helm is honestly one of my favorite helmets in Crimson Desert, but I wish it was dyeable. Being able to change its color would make it fit with a lot more armor combinations and give players more freedom when creating their character’s look.
I’d also love to see an option to remove plumes from helmets. Some players probably like them, but personally I prefer a cleaner knight aesthetic. There are several helmets in the game that would instantly become my favorites if I could simply hide the plumes.
Another feature I’d love to see is a blacksmith or armorer NPC who can restore damaged gear. There are so many damaged armor and helmet variants in the game that look amazing, but players can’t actually use them. Some of these damaged pieces have designs that I honestly prefer over the obtainable versions.
A good example is the Antra Plate Helm. As far as I know, it’s only available as a damaged piece of gear and isn’t usable by the player. I actually prefer its appearance over the Chelcia Plate Helm because of its cleaner and simpler design. It would be awesome if players could restore damaged gear, obtain those appearances, or even use them as cosmetic options.
Crimson Desert already has some of the best armor designs I’ve seen in an RPG. More customization options like dyeable helmets, removable plumes, and the ability to restore damaged gear would give players even more reasons to collect and use different armor sets.
Hopefully this is something that can be considered in a future update.
