Tabi Ballet Pump SIZING!!??
Hi, I’m usually a 40 or 41… depends on the brand and the style. I have almost completely stopped wearing narrow shoes because I love comfort.
I haven’t owned Margiela shoes for years. The last pair I had was a heeled boot (not tabi) in size 40. I eventually decided they felt short/my foot slipped too far forward in them so I sold them.
I just bought these ballet pumps in 40 but I was really stuck between 40 and 41.
41 felt immediately comfy but my foot slipped out (with and without tabi socks). An insole count save this but concerns me.
40 felt really restricted on my right foot but pretty good on my left foot (the smaller one). I can get in them with and without tabi socks.
The staff at Margiela said they will stretch but I can’t help but feel stressed abut it. These are a treat for my wedding so it’s a big purchase for me.
They do not make half sizes in this style/colour.
I have an old pair of classic Gucci loafers and they are 40. By the end of a day of waking my feet hurt in them and are red. Obviously they are a firmer leather, not split toe and quite a narrow style.
