Mom had a heart attack and open heart surgery yesterday. Anyone know what the recovery is going to be like?
She's 70 and a heavy smoker. No issues until this happened yesterday. Seemed to come out of nowhere. We all thought of my dad as the unhealthy one who was going to go first (even he assumes this).
It's been very shocking for all of us. She probably won't quit smoking and neither will he. She had a quadruple bypass.
