Recently fitted a Greddy FV2 to my procharged ez30R and I don’t think I’ve heard an angrier release of air

Hi all, I’ve come for some other brains to bounce this predicament off of. My dump valve opens after not very much rpm (for context this is a centrifugal supercharger setup) I vacuum tested the diaphragm and it slowly loses pressure so I know the valve is somewhat faulty, my question is, would a faulty diaphragm cause it to open under boost? I understand that there’s pressure applied via boost going against the diaphragm but I would’ve thought the spring would be strong enough regardless of the fact? Maybe I don’t know enough about dump valves but this one puzzled me. Any input is greatly appreciated.
