My mom (70 year) recently travelled internationally and started showing signs for viral infection..sore throat, coughing and runny nose which accompanies by shivering at times and body ache. She had VP shunt surgery in Aug 2025. We are at day 3 and she still has shivering some times, coughing and has body aches. She is also sleeping a lot, I am getting worried that it has nothing to do with shunt? Is there any key difference between the two? Also, does viral infection have a more severe effect after shunt?
