Crunchy clothes - HELP
I use the 365 by Whole Foods Sport detergent plus the Charlie’s Soap & Hard Water Booster and then Downy Rinse for me and my baby’s clothes. My husband is allergic to most detergent, so I use Gain with Gear Guard and plain citric acid rinse. We have an Amana top loader purchased new within the last year. No matter what I do, the clothes are still stinky and dirty (like there was zero detergent)and they come out crunchy. I use one capful of 365 plus a scoop of Charlie’s, and there’s zero suds at all. We have hard water, so I tried 2 capfuls and still zero suds, but the clothes are crunchy. I wash on warm, normal, with an extra rinse. I even tried washing on bulky and deep water with extra detergent (still no suds and the clothes still stink). I am at my wits end here… how can I have no suds and stinky crunchy clothes 😭 **we have mainly cotton clothes that are dried on low sometimes medium. Please help.
Edit to add: I’ve been using 365 for over a year, and lots of the baby clothes are fairly new, so it wasn’t from previous detergent
