Midi tulle or tea length sequins?

June wedding at a Catholic Church early afternoon followed by backyard tent receptions
In New England. DC is black tie optional but I’ve seen what others are wearing and it’s a very wide range.
1- needs to be altered in the bust but light and airy tulle and MUCH more comfortable.
2- hard to tell that it’s embroidery and sequins. I love the dress but it’s not comfortable!
I’m a third tier guest and think either would be fine but would love opinions. Partner and mom like different ones. :)
