Dani Theory
Notice how Dani had a majority of the lines in Iconic by Mistake and probably the most screentime too? Meanwhile Yoonchae hardly had any lines and I'm starting to notice a trend here. I think they are doing this so that when the group disbands Dani will forever be stuck in the "Katseye box." She is already showing ALL her talents and ALL her vocals leaving nothing to surprise if she ever goes solo. Everyone will already know what to expect from her. In fact, I think she is giving more of herself than any other member in the group.
Whereas with Yoonchae, they are keeping her mysterious on purpose. We haven't seen all her charms yet because she hardly gets any screen time and vocals. They are doing this so they can easily mold her into whatever they want her to be and the audience will be shocked and excited to see Yoonchae on her solo journey. No one will be able to predict her vibe and her sound. The commenters will go crazy at her debut. They want yall begging for more when she goes solo!!! That's why they are sucking Dani dry currently- shes too predictable which is perfect for how Katseye is right now. Sometimes people believe being the face of the group will lead to instant success in a solo career but this isn't always the case when "the face" gets burnt-out, giving 110% to a group that she has no control over and the audience get bored bc they. know what to expect from her.
So therefore, they are playing the long game with Yoonchae and maybe even Sophia. They are totally saving them for something better while burning Dani out now. They don't expect Dani to have a long-term career. She's popular now, but they don't expect it to last. That's just my take.
