what do you get in 'trouble' for?
Seems like it could be anything, but here's some danger zones resulting in my upwBPD's wrath, escalation, or punishment with silence:
- not saying goodnight over text in the 'right way', or declaring I'm going to bed 'too early'
- not following their advice for a personal legal matter which had a theoretical distant future impact on them
- not being particularly available to them when trying to take an evening to myself (we don't live together) to just chill out with my chill-out method of choice
- having any weekend plans which don't include them (mostly untested because I know better)
- I once suggested it'd be fun and sexy to see a burlesque show as a couple -- this resulted in a two-week long icing
- asserting that I'm the only person who could actually know what I meant when I said something
- bought us a pair of couples therapy books for us to use together from our chosen author, but billed her for her half (we split all joint things) without asking
- me running out of things to say on a phone call
- leaving any argument without permission (never given)
I wonder how many of these sound similar to folks.
So, what would get you "in trouble"? (or you don't dare try)
