6 month old sooo appetite change
My 6-month-old standard poodle puppy’s appetite changed drastically right at the 6-month mark. She used to work for kibble and get excited about food. Now it’s been 2 weeks she doesn’t finish her portions and won’t work for kibble, though she’ll still take treats.
She skipped dinner yesterday and didn’t want her breakfast today. We played catch with kibble to get her interested, and she only ate part of the bowl.
Otherwise she’s totally normal - playful, enjoys walks, etc.
She’s 15.5 kg (34.2 lb) and I feed her 1,309.5 kcal/day (mix of fresh and kibble). This is what recommended by the service I use to get her food. Is this normal teenage drama? Should I drop to twice-a-day feeding? Are their portions too high and should I lower it?
She doesn’t oversnack. No treats unless she eats her food, with exceptions for puppy school and long chews/Kongs to keep her occupied when necessary.
She’s my first dog and I’m doing my best, so I’ll really appreciate some advice.
