Maxed out Fluid Reasoning (140) on WISC-V, low Working Memory (88), Dyslexia & Aphantasia.
Hi everyone,
I (16M, currently in 4th year of Dutch pre-university education / VWO) recently had to take a WISC-V IQ test to officially get diagnosed with dyslexia. Since I maxed out the Fluid Reasoning part, I wanted to share my profile and hear your thoughts or if anyone experiences something similar.
My scores came out highly uneven:
* Fluid Reasoning: 140 (Highest this test reaches)
* Verbal Comprehension: 136
* Visual Spatial: 119
* Processing Speed: 111
* Working Memory: 88
(Might be important, my physiatrist didn't tell me I had a time limit per question, so she would at a certain point just mark the question wrong if I took too long)
My story:
Growing up, teachers never believed I had dyslexia, in primary school I had some classes, but I never scored low enough for a dyslexia test. Now in VWO (Dutch top class mis/highschool) Teachers just labeled me as "sloppy" or "careless" when I made mistakes. And wouldn't approve my dyslexia test. My parents eventually had to pay for this private IQ/dyslexia test out of pocket to prove it.
I also have aphantasia (idk if that matters).
Right now in high school, I barely ever study for beta subjects (math, physics, chemistry). However neither do I study for languages which i am not close to as good at, meaning I score low for all my languages(German, French, Dutch, English, Latin, Greek).
but I would love to hear from this community what these scores actually mean, the physiatrist that explained these scores to me didn't really do a great job, aswel a I thought you guys could have some nice inputs.
