Carrier options to carry cats to the vet

I don't have a car and take public transport. Usually i use a carrier with handle at the top and just brute force my way, but my hand hurts carrying it that way and as the cats get bigger it doesn't get better. I'm thinking of getting a better/more comfortable setup.

I foster and the rescue only allows hard carriers. Most prams, backpack, and trolley-type carriers i see have mesh, which can be chewed through, and are usually pretty costly (even second hand).

I'm thinking of using hard case carrier on a beach trolley or moving dolly, short of diy-ing something from wood.

Alternatively, i can sew straps that go around the carrier and then my shoulders so i can carry it like a backpack (or flip it to the front of my body for better awareness) or a sling bag.

Thoughts?

Do instances block crawlers? I find that the about pages of instances don't usually say, but maybe it's an unspoken common thing to have?

Wall plug and screw for mounting hat rack

I want to mount an ikea tjusig hat rack on an old brick wall (rendered/plastered/painted indoor wall). I bought the ikea wall screws set but quickly realised the screws are too short, so i need to go get the right stuff.

The wood part that the screws will go through is about 3cm deep and the predrilled holes on said part is about 6mm in diameter. It needs 4 screws.

My question is, how long of a plug/screw do i need to look for? Would green 7mm wall plug 50mm long + 75mm 8-9G screw be good? What type of screw should i look for? Is the wall plug roll any good for noobs (it's the only 7mm one available in my local hardware store)?

TIA

How do you guys save time?

I have 2 fosters. Both 4 months old. Both clingy lap cats. One is in isolation while recovering from illness. I took in the second one because i thought it would give the first clingy cat some company once he recovers. What i didn't think of is how much i'd hate having to come up with a system forndealing with isolation.

None are food motivated. They eat slowly and often don't finish food. The first cat sometimes leaves food halfway and needed reminder that the food is edible after. He gets play twice a day, once in the morning and once at night.

The second cat is in isolation so i have extra clothes to wear while in the bathroom with him, but even then it's not foolproof and sometimes my clothes peek out underneath and he touched it. He also doesn't like playing very much, he just wants to climb in and out of my lap.

Because they are isolated from each other, i can't combine playtime or cuddle time or meal preparation.

As much as i wanna help these cats, i also want to have time for myself. Is there anything i can do to make my work more efficient while spending enough time to keep them sane enough to survive isolation?
