So what’s the cause when the ED is NOT porn or alcohol-related?
25M here, struggling with ED bad.
The vast majority of information online seems to act as though cutting out porn/masturbation is the best thing to do to improve ED. But here’s the thing: I never watch porn, and I never masturbate. It’s very difficult for me to maintain an erection during sex, but it’s damn near impossible for me to get one at all when I’m by myself, so I’ve never bothered with touching myself.
I never even get erections in the morning, either. Until recently, I thought that “morning wood” was some kind of weird inside joke that men all over the world had for some reason. But apparently it’s a real thing, and a common one?
And I don’t drink alcohol, I’ve never touched a drop. I don’t smoke cigarettes, I work out, I’m in good physical shape, I drink a ton of water, and my diet is (mostly) pretty good. Meanwhile, I know guys who are obese, eat terribly, and are in their 40s who swear up and down that they still get hard very frequently and very easily. So what gives?
And no, I’m sure my issue isn’t that “anxiety” / “it’s all in your head” thing. I’m confident around women, I’ve got experience with a lot of different partners, and I’m confident in my sexual abilities when the dice roll decides that I’ll be able to get hard this time; and if it doesn’t, I’m secure enough in my abilities at giving oral/fingering that it doesn’t stress me out. Usually.
So what else could it be? This is really getting old. I’m tired of all the success stories on here saying that the solution is to do less of something that I already don’t do in the first place.
