AITA for leaving and going home on a “group trip”
i went out of town for the holiday weekend with my boyfriend, his cousin, their aunt and her boyfriend. his aunt paid for the the place we stayed and didn’t ask anyone to chip in. the second day there, she came into the room my boyfriend and i were staying in and told me they were leaving the city for the day because she wanted “alone time” with him and she had talked to her sister (his mom) about how to let me know…for context, his parents don’t like me because he makes a 6 figure salary and i’m a army combat vet and a student, and though i work, they think i’m not “well established”…anyway, he left with her around 11 that morning an only said he’s leaving. didn’t ask if i was okay or comfortable, or if i needed anything. so i’m then left at an air bnb with two men i don’t know. i ask when he would be back and his response was “idk i’m on her time”. i realized he has my wallet and my debit card from holding out for me the night before. so now i’m alone with two men i don’t know well, no id, no card. i packed my bag and took the first train home. he hasn’t texted or called me and asked why or even if i was okay. i’m genuinely lost, hurt and confused. and even a bit angry.
now he’s upset with me, and the family is saying how i’m wrong/rude for leaving mid trip. but the way i see it, i didn’t want to be uncomfortable or feel unsafe out of state…now please tell me i’m nta and i’m not crazy.
