It’s really tiresome to keep hearing comments that the new Lara is less feminine and lacks curves, or that she’s on steroids.

It’s really tiresome to keep hearing comments that the new Lara is less feminine and lacks curves, or that she’s on steroids.

Once again, I’m seeing a lot of comments that are simply one big biological aberration and deserve to be named the nonsense of the year.

Firstly, Lara has a “curvy figure”, secondly, she is a woman who actively practises athletics, so she won’t naturally have a huge chest, a massive waistline or wide, unnatural hips; such women always have less body fat, which means that muscle builds up thanks to androgens both above and below the waist, so Lara will have visible muscles on her arms and less fat around her hips, It’s so pathetic that we have to explain such things to people, especially as current game graphics are constantly improving and becoming more realistic, so naturally the characters will also reflect physical realism and are modelled on real people.

Why do we have to explain such things? Is the face supposed to be incredibly realistic with all the details, but the body isn’t?

What amuses me most are comments like the one saying that Netflix’s Lara looks like a guy because she has muscular arms xD

I’ve really had enough of listening to this utter nonsense, which, on top of that, isn’t even biologically accurate but stems from artificial preferences shaped by games.

Of course, it’s also nonsense to use the argument that it’s a ‘game’ and therefore, by definition, unrealistic. Yes, but the current Lara model is the creators’ vision. Just like Stellar Blade.

Go on, tell me her face is ‘masculine’ - just as we heard with Ciri from The Witcher - it’s one big absurdity.

Do we have the same eyes?
