'Virtual Lara' promoting Tomb Raider III.
Has anyone ever watched this from 1998 before?
Lara's animation is scary and funny🥹😆
But back then it was pretty hi tech, I was there in 1998. 😂

I’m trying my best to not use any AHHHHH
On the work bench I currently have Sam, Amanda, Werner, and Marco. Kinda my own interpretations loosing based off the different designs and the different timelines.
For Amanda, I just need to paint the red lower toso and gloves black, and then add some belts and different feet.
Marco is kinda done, but I will probably repaint the black on his scarf since it’s currently just colored in with sharpie.
Werner I might repaint the browns a more vibrant tan because I feel the shade brown I used was a bit too dark.
And Sam is done! Might take another go at her later down the line, or might make her outfit from the survivor game. Who knows!
Feedback would be appreciated
I just completed TR2013 and ROTR side by side. The animation quality of tomb raider has never been super smooth but it’s “accepted” because there’s nothing as dynamic as that. TR2013 brought in new animated sequences the issue still exists with free roaming section. There’s not enough “special animation glue” in certain sequences. Lara just jitters to hit a certain spot. With more free roaming areas in Rise, it gotten worse.
But Assassin Creed exists. Uncharted exists. Those games have fabulous and dynamic animation system which handles everything.
Hopefully this don't get taken down because apparently this scene used to get spammed on here 🙏

So first thing, yes, these changenumbers are for changes made to the game and they are not Steam store updates. Store-based changenumbers will always show how many other games were affected by the update to the store. Very rarely will it ever affect a single game, and never would they affect a single game multiple times in a row.
While I don't want to tell anyone that they shouldn't hold Aspyr accountable for the errors introduced by the Challenge Mode update, do know that they're still working on getting the game fixed. It is my personal hope that Patch 3 taking this long signifies it will be a more substantial update that fixes most if not all the issues that were introduced.
I FINALLY. FINALLY!! Have the opportunity to play Rise and Shadow now! AND AND!! I MIGHT be able to play Legacy when it comes out? Maybe..? Hopefully..
ANYWAY
SO EXCITED!! Ive also been wanting to properly run the LAU triology with some cool reshade presets and stuff!
..I know I suck at making wallpapers, I just wanted to smother my Windows 7 background with Lara Croft renders :3
Latest episode of the HOGmented Podcast uploaded on FWH's YouTube channel.
Chapters are listed in the description of the video. I think the TR: LoA (aka the "real tea" lol) discussion starts around 21:00.
What do you all think?
---
ETA: So I've watched most of it (skipped some bits). Some things they've discussed in this episode were already talked about in the last mini-doc episode.
Some new things they've mentioned/discussed:
Overall, I do appreciate FWH for putting this out. 💐 They really do seem genuinely enthusiastic and passionate about the game itself, as well as pleasing both OG and new fans. And insight into their design-thinking process is always welcome. 👍
I didn’t play the games so I wasn’t sure if it’s a concept for an arm grapple or something else. I know eventually they went with the belt one like LAU.
The reason I’m wondering is because “franchise modeler” Kam Yu is behind these and LOA character design. So, maybe he revisited these concepts and implemented the ideas into LOA.
Thoughts?
How do they record so many DEV Sessions and decide to use the same 2min footage over and over again.
When they first revealed the game, it seemed a bit scuffed in some areas but you are like sure they will fix it.
Now we are months away from release and they couldn't edit in some extra footage, even if the Dev sessions were recorded before that.
I dunno this just screams there is something wrong with this game behind the scenes. I feel like it will be janky to play, but i really hope not.
Near the end of the game, Natla offers Lara the chance to rule Atlantis by her side; as we all know, Lara rejects this deal and destroys the Scion instead, but what if she had accepted? What consequences would have followed after Lara made that decision?
