Hi Everyone- thank you so much for your comments which have made me decide to ditch the very dated sari I own and look for other bridal options

Can I ask opinions of the outfits posted below? Please be honest … are these ok or too flashy/tacky/young? (If so, what makes it that way so I can see).

Born in UK so don’t have a good sense of Indian fashions … should I focus on a sari vs a lehengha for example?

For context, I will be 50, groom 60, first marriage for both of us, I’m Punjabi, he is non- Indian.

For colours - is Rani pink/Magenta an option vs red or too young?

And could metallic (eg last pic) work for the reception?

Hi - I bought this sari several years ago and have never worn it

I’m now getting married, importantly I will be 50 years old on my wedding day, groom will be 60, first marriage for us both. I’m Punjabi, he is not & it will be a fairly small wedding (70 guests) in UK

My mum is keen for me to wear this as it’s ‘age appropriate’ … is it too plain/frumpy, & is there anything I can do to liven it up? Alternatively I can shop for something else as wedding is not til next year.
