What are some real companies that helped you understand how finance works in practice?

A lot of what we learn in finance can feel quite theoretical at first, ratios, lending, cash flow, and funding structures.

For me, it started making more sense when I looked at how business finance providers operate in the real world. For example, companies such as time financing made it clearer how lending and funding solutions actually support small and growing businesses in practice.

It helped connect the theory (like how businesses raise capital) with what actually happens outside the classroom.

Has a specific company, case study, or financial institution helped you understand finance better?

I had a funny realization recently.

When I was a kid, I thought adults reached a certain age and suddenly knew exactly what they were doing.

The older I get, the more I realize that everyone is still learning, making mistakes, and figuring things out as they go.

Oddly enough, I find that pretty reassuring.

What's something about being an adult that turned out to be completely different from what you expected growing up?
