Sharing my blackout H2 build
I know some people's whole PC cost lest than my GPU alone, but I just wanted to share what I was able to put together.
Case: H2 Flow (obviously!), with Noctua NF-A12x25 G1 Chromax fans at the top
GPU: 5070 founders edition, undervolted to 120W (hasn't exceeded 60C yet)
CPU: Ryzen 5 7600X, running PBO with a -25 curve offset (temps have briefly peaked at 80C, usually in the mid 50s while gaming)
Cooler: be quiet! Pure Loop 3 280mm aio, soon to be upgraded with Noctua NF-A14x25 G2 Chromax fans
Motherboard: ASUS B650E-I
RAM: Teamgroup T-Create 32GB 6000MHz CL30
Storage: 1TB Silicon Power US75, 2TB Crucial T500, 4TB Lexar NM790
PSU: Corsair SF750
For anyone wondering, the undervolt brings performance to somewhere in between a 5060 Ti and 4070, which is fine for me since my monitor is only 1080p (I have an alcove desk and I can't fit a monitor larger than 24 inches in that alcove). Total cost came out to just under £1600 - might seem a lot for a 1080p gaming build, but two things to note: if I was going to buy a new GPU, then it had to be a founders edition card (I love the look), and I wanted to ensure the build would be capable of running mechanical engineering programs (very single-core heavy, hence the Ryzen 5) better than the i5 12500 PCs I used at university, so in this case overkill is good.
