H3 Flow - Updated Build

Hi, slight update to my build from last time. Changed the 240mm Kraken Elite to a 280mm Elite RGB. Was keen to make the change happen from the start as I felt the PC was running loud with air through the radiator whilst keeping the CPU temps in check.

Initially I had a Corsair 280mm in place to test it, and whilst I’ve went with the NZXT for aesthetic reasons, I think the Corsair was actually a bit better at cooling under heavy load. I may visit this again in the future but for now I’m happy.

Added the 280mm RGB fans from the cooler to the top of case for extraction, and since they aren’t the performance fans like the F280x they run a fair bit quieter. Returned the F240x, and the 280mm fans do fit but a bit of a squeeze against the radiator in the front.

Last change I plan to make will be to try and ‘tidily’ remove the front fan brackets on front of the case to allow the RGB on the F280x to shine through properly.

Specs:

Case: NZXT H3 Flow
CPU: Ryzen 7 9850x3D
Cooler: NZXT Kraken Elite 240
Fans: NZXT F120x/F240x/F280x Performance Fans & NZXT Hub
RAM: V-Color DDR5 32GB 6000mhz CL28
GPU: PNY nVidia RTX 5080 Slim OC
Storage: 2TB Corsair MP700, 2TB Crucial P310, 2x4TB Samsung 870 SATA & 4TB WD Blue SATA
PSU: Corsair RM1000x

2026 H6 Flow Question

Was going to purchase an older H6 flow and buy fans and pair a controller

Then I stumbled upon the new version RGB + that has the seven fans, does this new version come with a controller so I can pair an AIO and sync colors or would it need a separate controller?

Thanks

NZXT H2 Flow ( Black Build ) w/ Zotac RTX5080 Solid

After using nr200p v2 for a while, i deciced to switch H2 Flow, maybe bigger but less footstep and better looking ( imo ) and also happier with tempratures. 3 Pin top fans are really cheap and loud btw.

AMD 9800X3D
ASUS Strix X670E-I
Zotac RTX 5080 Solid
Corsair Venegance RGB 32GB 6000MHZ CL30
NZXT Kraken Elite 280 White AIO
Asus Loki 850w White PSU
Samsung 980 PRO 1TB + 2TB
NZXT Core F240 RGB Fans ( Top Exhaust )

Just got my Kraken Elite.. Going to return it.

I asked a few days ago here if I should buy the Kraken Elite.

I was comparing it vs the Lian Li Hydroshift and well.. I should have got the hydroshift from lian li.

The Kraken has horrible pump noise, below 80% it starts to gurgle/rattle and at 100% well, you can hear the pump buzzing.

Is the NZXT H7 FLOW the ultimate ATX case!?

Couple of years ago built a system in a NZXT H7 FLOW 2022, things fitted well and the build quality of the case was great and other various aspects made it a very good case. The shroud I did find as a restriction to exploit the interior space.

I recently wanted to house some other boards in cases, ASUS ROG Crosshair X870E APEX. The updated NZXT H7 FLOW caught my eye again! The improved internal layout was ideal for my current and future uses. The PSU being side up had opened up the base for air flow and also fans/rads!

This link will take you to a YouTube video, basically my amateur experience/viewpoint share on this case. All HW in the video is mine, I make zero money from YouTube, I have a lot of videos as use the medium to share my setups, that is all.

My post is just my 2cents on this case, best wishes to all.

Lord of the rings Custom PC clean simple edit (my second attempt)

Originally I made the mistake of posting a tiktok based slop filter edit of my build. Before getting down voted to all hell, so I tossed the edit into the fires of Mount Doom and forged a better edit. I decided to actually put some dignity into the edit rather than slopify the fine tastes of the Lord of the rings reddit page. Understand I am no Editor, and cannot represent this build in it's full glory. But I'll try my best.

I put a lot of effort into this build and I felt that the Lord of the rings community is heavily underrated in the gaming and computer space with hardly any computer builds being based around lotr.

This is my eye of sauron build and it was custom printed and built by me. Artist: Dan Mumford.

The PC is custom water-cooled. It features copper tubing and a distro plate with a built in lcd display.

Parts: rtx 5090, i9 13900k, 128gb ram, z790 , tomahawk motherboard. Bykski GPU block, xc7 lcd CPU block.

The keyboard is a cstm80 with drop lotr back plate and key caps along with a drop lotr wrist rest. Keycaps also from drop

Update on NZXT Flex Posts

Hello r/NZXT Community,

Today we have removed several posts and comments and banned some users for posting or sharing instructions on how to steal NZXT Flex computers, circumvent protections on these devices, commit package or return fraud, or sell NZXT Flex rental PCs to unsuspecting buyers. We have zero tolerance for this behavior. It is also prohibited across Reddit under Reddit Rule 7, which bans illegal content and the facilitation of illegal or prohibited transactions.

Going Forward

Going forward, we will take a more consistent approach to intentional nonpayment and non-return. As the posts we removed made clear, our historically limited enforcement led some people to believe they could stop paying, keep a Flex PC, and face no meaningful consequences.

If that perception continues, more people will take advantage of the program, and honest customers will ultimately bear the cost through higher prices, lower approval rates, stricter requirements, and a less convenient experience. Addressing this behavior is not just about protecting our property. It is about making NZXT Flex more accessible, affordable, and convenient for the thousands of customers who choose it because it genuinely works for their lives.

Build, Buy, Finance, or Subscribe

We also want to be clear about something that can get lost in conversations about Flex: we do not think NZXT Flex is the best option for everyone.

If you want to build your own PC, NZXT has been designing and manufacturing PC components for more than 20years, including cases, coolers, power supplies, fans, and more.

If you know you want to own your PC and buying or financing makes sense for you, we encourage you to do that. We sell PCs outright, offer financing, and work to make both options as accessible as possible. Flex exists for people who want something different.

The main difference is commitment. If you finance a PC today, you may still be making payments 6, 12, or 24 months from now, even if your circumstances change or you no longer want it. With Flex, you can return the PC and stop paying. That flexibility can be valuable if you are trying PC gaming for the first time, need a powerful PC temporarily, are uncertain what your budget will look like a year from now, or simply do not want a long-term commitment.

Flex also includes support and hardware protection. If something goes wrong with the PC, we will fix or replace it at no additional cost. After two years, you may be eligible for a refresh to a more current version of your Flex tier while keeping the same monthly price.

There are tradeoffs. If you already know you will keep the same PC for years, buying or financing will often make more sense. That is completely fine; those options will always be available, we would love for you to choose them, and we will never push Flex on anyone.

All we wish to do is make the various options we offer as clear as possible. For Flex, that has involved adding very clear disclosures and signed acknowledgments that the program is a subscription, not rent-to-own, and that if individuals want rent-to-own or something like it, they should just use the financing option we offer in standard checkout.

Criticism Remains Welcome

Argue that ownership is the only sensible choice. Post the math showing that keeping the same PC through Flex for years can become expensive. Recommend building, buying, financing, or using a credit card instead. We have not and will not remove posts merely for criticizing the program.

But criticism is not a how-to guide for theft, and disagreement is not a reason to mock or shame people who made a different choice. Don’t steal, or advocate stealing. Be kind to your fellow NZXT community members. Thousands of people have chosen Flex, just as tens of thousands have chosen to build, buy, or finance. Each had their own reasons.

Comments are locked so this post can remain a clear reference for our community standards. Feedback and good-faith discussions of NZXT remain welcome elsewhere in the subreddit.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Should I replace my ASRock X870 Steel Legend WiFi?

I built my new PC on July 14 with the following specs:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D
Motherboard: ASRock X870 Steel Legend WiFi
GPU: ASRock Radeon RX 9070 XT Steel Legend
RAM: 32GB (2×16GB) G.Skill DDR5-6000 CL30

Until a fellow Redditor recently pointed me to the reports about ASRock X870 boards allegedly killing 9800X3D CPUs, I had absolutely no idea this issue existed.

I had been running the system on the factory BIOS 3.16 since I built it. After finding out about the reports, I updated to BIOS 4.43 yesterday.

The PC has been completely stable so far:
No crashes or BSODs
No boot issues
No random restarts
0 WHEA-Logger errors
EXPO enabled at 6000 MT/s
SoC voltage is around 1.19V in HWiNFO

I’ve played multiple games and even built shaders in The Last of Us Part I and Hogwarts Legacy without any issues..Even though everything appears to be working perfectly should I replace the motherboard while it’s still new, or would you continue using it now that it’s on BIOS 4.43?

Update: Unfortunately, something happened. maybe sooner than expected. The system suddenly refused to boot. All fans and RGB turn on, but there’s no display and the motherboard gets stuck on the CPU debug LED. I tried power cycling, checking connections and the usual basic troubleshooting, but no luck. The system was completely stable until this happened. I’m taking the motherboard and CPU to the retailer for testing. What a MESS! My complete setup is merely 20 days old. Recent BIOS update might have done something?

Hi everyone
i have an N7 Z690 motherboard running the latest BIOS version (18.02) and an i9-14900KF processor and I am experiencing instability issues

Do you happen to know if there are any further BIOS updates for this model?

If there isn't one, to look for a way to limit the processor.

RGB not as bright?

I love Artic products, so much so I removed the NZXT fans in my H6 Flow case and installed every single Artic fan I could in the case.. Looks awesome, However the AIO "Magnetic" just isnt as bright as i would like it to be. Everything else is popping and it just looks dull and tired. It doesn't look bad in the picture but in person its just not great. Anyone noticed this too?

What did you do to fix it/did you cover it up with one of those 2.8 LCD screens?

Need help with NZXT N7 Z790 motherboard m.2 slot plates removal please

Super hard to pull out, Magnets from hell. Is there any way to remove them without damaging anything? WTH NZXT, i love the quality but for god sake why so hard??

How to remove the plates marked with the Xs please.

Solution discovered, From the left side you pry it with a screw driver gently and comes off easy. All the time I’m trying from the right side and from the middle. Worst design ever 🤦🏻‍♂️ NZXT you are cool and design beautiful but damn so damn hard to figure it out.

Thread closed, Thank you all

Issue with Kraken Elite V2

I am having an issue (I have opened a ticket with NZXT) and was wondering if anyone else has had this issue. A couple of minutes after boot CAM will say under lighting “Communication to the device failed”. When I click retry it connects but the heat sync display will only show liquid temp. I am able to change the lights on all the other fans but nothing on the Kraken.

Edit/update: NZXT support has stated the issue is with the built-in controller. They are going to replace it but I have to send them a video of me destroying my current unit before they will send the replacement.
