My daughter and I are heading to Hampden soon for Metallica. Hotels are through the roof and last time I went there and used the train back into the city it was a total pain in the bahookie. Thinking of getting a taxi back home (a taxi to Dumfries costs less than a hotel which is a fucking joke for a Thursday night, but anyway…)

I’ll be using a pre-booked Dumfries taxi company but looking for advice on where to get picked up. I understand the surrounding area will have road closures and be gridlocked. Thought if I walk about 20 minutes there might be an address I can give the taxi firm for picking us up. Any ideas? Or should I suck it up and get ripped off for a hotel?
