5 year old having auras?
Recently (like within the last couple of weeks) my son has said thinks like “why do you look so far away?” And then immediately oh now you’re normal and laughs it off. The first couple times I thought he was messing with me so didn’t think too much about it. Then last week he told his dad “sometimes my eyes get blinky and I can’t see things really well” which had us both sitting at attention. We asked him some follow up questions but he didn’t really seem to care or want to engage on it. What we can gather it lasts for no more than a few seconds. Again tonight he asked me why I was so far away and then almost immediately that I looked normal again. We engaged with him on it and he said sometimes when he’s doing his work his eyes go *makes like a silly noise* but only for a few seconds.
This has of course sent me into a Google spiral and they sound like potentially silent migraines. I was wondering if anyone here had a similar experience themselves or with their kids. He’s 5 and super healthy, smart, active and wonderful kid! I’ll be reaching out to his doctor Monday to get her input and if we need a neurology referral as well. Thank you!
