Hey guys hope you can help me out, I recently bought the MXR bass synth pedal and i was really excited to use an expression pedal with it to quickly cycle 2 different synth sounds but after connecting an Ampero press Hotone volume and expression pedal to the MXRs expression jack, all that happens is that all the presets get cycled in the MXR and the Hotone still acts like just a volume pedal.

I was wondering if there was any way to fix this? Is it because the expression pedal im using also doubles as a volume pedal and so wont work? Im very new to pedals so any help at all would be greatly appreciated.
