My mom got me this ring 20 years ago from an antique sale, but did not know anything about it. The small mark reads “10k RL” (at least I think. It’s very hard to real the letter markings so it could also be PL or maybe FL?) so I know it’s 10k white gold. I’d love to know what to stone might be, and what RL means? I assume it might be a makers mark or something referring to a technique, but could not find any info on it. I assume it’s also a small maker and probably can’t really be identified given the lack of info on the ring so no big deal if that isn’t possible. Ideas about the stone would be appreciated though - my thoughts are zircon, but my mom says she recalls is being a sapphire or topaz or something of the like!
